Is there a back door and quarter finals? Or is it one chance and your out like the old days?

    Backdoor, like 2017.

6 teams that don't make the provincial finals go into a draw, two teams get a bye and await the winners of the other 4 teams for a place in quarters.

That’s a much better system for ya than the round robin In general. I feel like we’ve a much better chance Rather than the 4 games in 5 weeks which has been a disaster for us

It's a better system for Counties with poor panels. Clare would have a poor panel but a good 15 to 18. Clare are well behind Limerick but could beat them on the day. Unfortunately Clare generally give Tipperary way too much respect whereas Limerick lay into them. Tipp never like it up them. Clare havent hopped off Tipp in years..bring back Colin Lynch. Even the win against them 2 years ago was jammy. Anyway roll on the league final. Please God let it be on in Cork then Limerick supporters will know they ll outnumber Clare 5 to 1 instead of the usual 3 to 1

We’d be in that category of not having massive strength in depth In our panel. This year is a massive opportunity to get into the latter stages of the championship as we know the odds are stacked against us on the league format.

The minors play Tipp in Munster semi final, assuming tipp get over Kerry! not sure what sort of minor team we have this year but Tipp will be a big challenge

Ken Mcgrath on Anthony Dalys podcast this week, good episode

You never hear much of his time as a selector under Michael Ryan. Definitely lifted the team at time, didn't he leave the role before the 2013 season ?

    Well that's a bummer.

Only 45 tickets being made available to clubs fo matches.

Disappointing but I can understand the decision in the circumstances. And that's speaking as a season ticket holder.

Any word on a streaming service for club games?

  • Registered Users Posts: 652 ✭✭✭Jjjjjjjjbarry

I see the Waterford GAA site has been updated and it's a lot easier to browse fixtures. Much improved.

So senior hurling starts next weekend. I have club+ so very disappointed at not being able to attend but understandable obviously. Hopefully there will be some way to stream games.

Hard to see Ballygunner been beaten, hugr depth in the panel

Hopefully no injuries and we have a full panel come September. Aussie is great shape

The games are starting on Friday and the link for Live Streaming on their website doesn't work and there is nothing on their social media about live streaming yet

P1ss poor from the county board when you see how well Clare, Mayo, Wexford and Kerry are advertising their streaming services

Great news. Looking forward to watching the Gunners v Tallow with a few bottles on Friday! Hope the service works well.

Yeah should do. It says it on the press release. Snip below.
At the launch of this partnership Nemeton CEO, Irial Mac Murchú was “delighted to be entering a
collaboration with Waterford GAA and while in this very uncertain times with the current COVID-19
pandemic is very excited to be providing top quality GAA matches online to the Waterford public at
    home and across the globe.”

Is it €5 per game or €5 for access to all the games does anyone know?

5r per game I would imagine, make up for some of the lost revenue

Happy out with it now, my outburst was a few hours before the announcement!

That being said they still could have communicated it better beforehand to assure people streaming was happening and when the announcement would be

Gunners in total control at half-time, up 11 points to 4 at half time. Conor Sheehan with 2 good scores from the half back line, Mahony with 6 points from frees

What gear are Ballygunner in ?

Sounding like there very strong once again but Tallow have been weak for a number of years and lucky to be still senior
