Direct Debit - New mortgage saver account

Hi,
I applied for a mortgage saver account on the 14th January last. I received my IBAN by text message on Wednesday the 22nd January.

Reading the conditions - to avail of the bonus, you must setup the direct debit the day the account is opened.
I had done this for the 25th January, however it has not left my current account.
Would bank of Ireland have made a request to my bank to set this direct debit up? It is not listed on the recurring payments section of my main bank?

If this has yet to be set up, am I still eligible for the bonus?

Also my current account is not with Bank of Ireland - is this a requirement for the mortgage saver or is any personal current account ok?

As the 25th was a non-working day, the direct debit should have came out today. The direct debit would have been set up when the account was opened. This may not show up in the recurring payments section of your bank until the first payment debits the account.

You will need a current account held in the Republic of Ireland to be eligible. For more information on the Mortgage Saver account, we have attached a useful link below:
