Welcome to the temporary World Cup 2018 forum. Unlike the Soccer forum, this is an open forum that any Boards.ie member can read, start threads, or reply to threads. This forum will be shelved after the World Cup, so don't get too attached!

The Soccer forum's charter has been copied across for consistency. Please have a read of it here: https://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/show...p?t=2057881639. There are a couple of minor differences to be aware of.

One important thing to note is that this is an international team tournament. Leave club loyalties at the door and don't bring club chatter into the mix here.

Please note that although the main Soccer Charter has been copied to ensure consistency, the one material change, other than the fact this is not a place for club chat, is that cards and bans handed out over here have no effect in the main Soccer Forum and vice versa. However 2 yellows or a red over here will result in a ban from this forum for the duration of the forum remaining remaining open

Please feel free to start discussions of the various teams participating as well as match threads that are likely to generate significant discussion. It may also be worth having a general thread for matches/teams that may not warrant individual threads

We will be winding this forum up shortly. If anyone has something about the World Cup they want to get off their chest, please do so over the next day or to. We will shortly be returning to business as usual in the main Soccer forum
