No I don't believe we get turtle doves in Ireland or they are very rare at least?

Lads, please put something against windows to stop the reflection, birds can seriously injure themselves.

First occurrence despite 3 x 8’x4’glass windows and feeders nearby

Cat spooked it from the bushes seconds before on this occasion but I do agree to offset the window reflections if possible

Mad I only posted a while ago on another thread I have never seen so many birds and rabbits in my garden and birds smacking windows 3 or 4 times a day

I was out doing some gardening at the back of the house and popped my head up from what I was doing to see this little guy an hour ago. It looks healthy, so I imagine it’s out during the day due to thirst? So I took a quick snap and left it in peace with a shallow bowl of water. Hope it’s ok!

That photo is spectacular. I always feel for the underdog who lost the battle. I often wonder what’s going through their little minds in those final moments. Poor creatures!

i wouldn't worry too much if it's out at 8pm, could be a female with a litter out topping up on food. if you've any dog or cat food (nothing too fish based) it can't hurt to leave it out for him/her.
