Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Quoted 3.60 base for steers today in the midlands area.
    not as eager for cattle as last week. this dry spell seemingly after forcing a few lads to off load a few.

    They are drying to cut down to €3.50 as they are saying there is is a good supply now.

    They were saying on the Farmer's Journal Tech Talk that factories are doing deals so not to interfere with the base price, such as covering the cost of haulage, or covering fees.

    That is an excellent idea if it's true. Although the scumbags will rip that part from the bag before throwing it out the window.
