Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Parking near rafter dempseys

    Staying in Rafter Dempsey's this weekend. Read reviews that there's no parking and the nearest car park is 12€ a night. Any recommendations for somewhere cheaper or free?

    The Ormonde car park (quite near Rafters) is 7 euros from 6pm til 10am according to their website.
    You could give them a ring to confirm or get more info 056 7762485. It would definitely be safe there.

    Actually you could park in most of the nearby streets from 6pm free, so long as you move the car before 9am. (Friary St, Walkin St, Gaol Rd, New St, Parnell St.). It's a short walk from any of those to Rafters.

    Other people might have better ideas!

    On street is free on Sunday. How much is the one beside the cinema?

    That's the cinema on the Gaol Rd....first hour free, not sure after that or how it goes overnight. Worth looking into as well. It's always hard to get a spot in during the day so must be cheap.



    And there's the place beside the fire station on the Gaol Rd also, I'd say it's free on Sat night/Sunday
