Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Phone from Amazon marketplace seller

    I bought a new phone from an Amazon marketplace seller. The phone I received was completely different to what I ordered. It was used and in terrible condition with a cracked screen and marks all over it. It wasn't even the same model or colour. The seller asked me to return it but when I sent pictures of the phone they claimed that this was not to the phone they sent me. I contacted Amazon via the chat and they're weren't particularly helpful and just said to return it.

    If I return it and the seller still refuses to refund what happens next? Is it my word versus that of the sellers? The seller has 100% positive feedback which makes this whole thing quite surprising.

    Send it back via recorded Delievery. Did you pay using your credit card? If they refuse to refund you can always request a chargeback

    amazon are great here.

    this happened to me and i was given the choice of instant credit to my account, by amazon, before they even followed up with the retailer, or a refund at the end of the process.

    I recently bought a phone from an Amazon seller that turned out to be a dud that died after 1 month.

    Amazon gave me a full refund despite the sellers protests.
