New freesat setup - Missing ITV

I setup a brand new dish at the weekend (using freesat built into LG) and all works perfectly (no pixelation whatsoever) ....
Except for ITV1 London, ITV HD and ITV2 and be which are completely missing signal. They appear in the EPG but selecting them gives a blank screen with "no satellite signal"

Every other channel is perfect, signal strength is 85%+ and quality is 100% and doesn't budge

Is it possible the dish needs a very small alignment? Seems strange but all of the missing channels are on the same transponder ...

    Thanks for the advice!

There are various versions of ITV 1 HD including a London version. But none of them are on the transponder which carries ITV 2. ITV 4 is on that transponder, so it would be missing as well?

You should be getting about 475 channels if you did a full scan for Free to Air.

I’ll check when I go home what exactly is missing. It’s the official Freesat EPG so I guess some channels are removed. I see the regional variants are there but in the 900’s

What have you set the postcode to?

What have you set the postcode to?

    Buckingham palace :) (SW1A 1AA)

The Queen can’t watch Britain’s got talent!

The freesat setup puts the local channels at the top of the epg but these can be deleted. So with Buckingham Palace you will have ITV London (SD) on the first page of the epg and ITV HD will be further down.

I deleted most of the local channels.
    My order is
    102 BBC2 HD
104 C4 sd (as HD version was removed in dispute between c4 and freesat)
    105 C5 HD
    106 BBC One HD
    107 BBC 4 HD
    111 ITV HD

I hardly ever go beyond the first 2 pages of the epg guide.

    Thanks for the replies
I've listed the channels, I've nothing from this transponder....

    The epg numbers are

    103 - ITV London
    111 - ITV HD
    113 - ITV2
    117 - ITV4
    118 - ITVBe

Can check later, but I recall thinking about it now, that there was a way to edit the satellite settings and from there you can manually update transponder info for when you're auto tuning... maybe there's something there!

Check if there's an option for "Network Search" that way it will download the transponder info.

I set up free sat on a TV the other day.
Sony bravia TV with a sky dish connected straight into it.
I didn't use any postcode or anything I just scanned for channels.
I have all the ITV's and channel 4 in HD.
    Even channel 5 is hd!
In your face Sky TV!! :D

Yes a lot of good stuff is fta but you probably don't have 7 epg, just now/next.

You'll also be scanning for missing channels every few weeks when they change frequency

Would I get a 7 day EPG if I use a uk postcode?

Yep, Freesat is a branded product, a joint venture between the BBC and ITV

    Ah I see.
It's still better than using a sky box as a fta as I have all the channels I want together in favourites and the TV guide.

It is even too much for a lot of sadists :D

So I checked satellite settings again today

It seems anything below 10800 or so, signal strength is over 90% but quality is absolutely 0%

Looks like the dish is slightly out of alignment. Won’t be adjusting it in the dark :)
