The Swedes love their Yank tanks, I was at the Power meet in Vasteras a few years back, a huge show.

Came across this Ford graveyard near Kilgarvan over the weekend too, about 6 or 7 Sierras and a mark 1 Capri. Pity.

CI have either J123456 (Jersey) or 12345 (Guernesy) It's a 280E (judging by rear bumper), Jap spec ( front repeaters ) so it possibly a Jap import (tho' the Japs usually liked their Mercs in LHD  ) but with an Irish font / plate version of a Jap registration :confused::confused:

A glance at the 'tax disc' might have resolved the question

Spotted in The Algarve (Portugal) a few days ago. Mint, 1990 reg, appears to be in everyday use.

They dont have steep road tax system like ours so many older bigger cars still in circulation. The dry climate helps too of course!:D
(Having said that, it cost us €70 in tolls to do 3.5 hour round trip. Makes Dublin-to-Galway tolls seem like a bargain in comparison!)

Road tax has this country F**KED :mad:

Shame about the god-awful bumpers they had to wear.

This'd be so much more beautiful without them.

Some absolute nutter of an Italian dude came over to me as I was leaving and told me he'd like it for export. He took my number and said he's be in touch.
Either way, I had a smashing time in it and I cba if it doesn't sell :pac:
It was faultless and I got loads of attention on the way up and back.
