My work Xmas party is in Dun Laoghaire and I was trying to look up what time the last dart goes from there into Dublin over christmas, I can only see times for darts leaving Dublin.

anyone have a rough estimate of what time the last dart into Dublin is?

    Well that's not good news!

Any idea how a lad could get from Dun Laoghaire to Ranelagh after a Christmas party so!?

Assuming taxis would be like gold dust

You should get a taxi ok. Download one of the apps to have on standby if there are none around. You might have a little wait, but where there are people out, the taxis will be about.

Far harder to get one from city centre than DL I would have thought.

If you did get a Dart to the city centre (per your original query), how were you planning to get to Ranelagh? Because taxis in the city centre will be like gold dust. If your party was to finish before 23:30, your best bet would be to forget the Dart, get a 46A from DL Dart station to the stop on Lr. Leeson St. beside Appian Way and walk to Ranelagh.

But if you're in DL and the Dart and buses have finished, I'd suggest that a lot of the taxis that have dropped people off in Sandycove and Glasthule will come back to the taxi rank in DL opposite the Royal Marine Hotel - on the hill that goes from St. Michaels church down to the Dart station. But if there are no taxis there after your party, I'd go up to the main street and walk south towards Sandycove, you're bound to catch an empty taxi coming back towards Dublin.

Don't go near the city centre if you want to get a taxi to Ranelagh.

Sure last LUAS is at 12.30am and there will be half hourly services after that anyway for Christmas until 3am or so.

But you still have to get to the City.

I'm only a 20 minute walk from lansdown rd dart station so not the worse

Guess I'll just have to chance a taxi so, sounds like it should be managable
