Could someone explain to me why the watered down version of 'ECW' was recently cancelled on American TV and whether it will be picked up by anyone else?

Its now a new show called WWE NXT
    WWENXT_feature.jpg?1265397627

where WWE developmental rookies are paired with "Superstars" One of the rookies is Bryan Danielson now known as Daniel Bryan its well worth watching as its a cool new concept

The ratings got worse and worse, so the Network asked Vince to make some changes. :)

Expect some swerves and interference, both are clever men and I assume know they can't wrestle a proper match.

Also, could I ask, what happened to Mr Perfect in 2002, when he left the WWE for the last time about 6 months before his death....why did they release him at that time? His last match was apparently in the UK against Goldust...a dark match....does anyone know if this is available anywhere?

He was on the 'plane ride from hell', where many WWE wrestlers got truly twisted and started misbehaving. He got in a row with Lesnar about who was the better amateur wrestler and, as the story goes, they decided to settle the matter there and then. Cue 'future endeavours'.

Has there ever been a british WWE or World Heavyweight Champion?

Unfortunately not. Wrestlers like Bulldog, Regal etc only rose to Intercontinental and European titles. Sheamus is the only European to hold a world title in WWF/E or WCW.

The list of world champions who are not American or Canadian is a very short list.

What happened between John Bradshaw and Steve Blackman?

    Found this:

One day Blackman, who was a legit tough guy with a martial arts background (he currently owns an MMA gym in Harrisburg, MA), had a run-in with JBL, a known bully, in the airport.

JBL was giving him hell, as he is wont to do, and Blackman warned him to knock it off. JBL didn't knock it off, so Blackman flattened him with a punch and then reared back to take his head off with a soccer kick.

Anyway, JBL was saved because when Blackman reared back he got his foot caught in a woman's bag or something and it was broken up.

The next day in catering, Blackman went up to JBL in front of pretty much everyone and demanded he stand up and apologize or they were going to go at it again.

So JBL stood up and said he was sorry.

They kinda semi-reunited I think early 2008 as the Brothers of Destruction when Undertaker was being attacked by Big Daddy V and Mark Henry. They teamed a few times and helped each other out if I remember correctly.

Is there any particular reason why WCW was sold? Or who owned it before McMahon? and was there a price on it or how did the deal go through?

Have WWE acknoledged that Edge and Christian are 'brothers' since his return? Or have they even been mentioned in the same sentence?

They met backstage after Christian won the ECW title at Backlash 2009. Christian walked over to Edge and he asked what happened to Edge, he used to be fun. Then Edge started talking about how it's all John Cena's fault. I think that was pretty much it. Sorry, couldn't find a clip for you

November 20th 2009 edition of SD; Taker and Kane wrestled JeriShow to a no contest.

I think WCW was sold because Turner broadcasting(who owned WCW)were taken over by another company and WCW was a massive money loser plus the new CEO of AOL-TimeWarner didnt want wrestling on his new TV networks.
There were a few other groups interested in buying WCW at the time including one led by Eric Bischoff, but once WCW's tv shows were cancelled Bischoff's investors backed out, allowing Vince to pick up WCW for a bargain, around $4 or $5 million I think.

I think it might have even been cheaper than that tbh, because Chris Jericho has said a few times if he'd have known the price WWE paid for it he would have bought it himself, Shows want a intelligent businessman Vince is as he's made that amount back probably 10 times over at this stage, but other investors ie Bischoff wouldnt buy it because they couldnt get a TV Deal..

Vince also only signed up the video rights and copyrights, he didn't sign any of the talent, anyone that wanted to keep WCW going would have needed millions to get most of their top talent going (some could argue that's 1 of the reasons the invasion failed, lack of name talent). Time saw something that was costing them money and failing and in comes someone willing to but it off them

Has there ever been a british WWE or World Heavyweight Champion?

Antonio Inoki was the first non American/Canadian to win the title (he was Japanese and won the title on a tour of the country), he won the WWWF Championship in November 1979 and held it less then 3 weeks before vacating it - which was a big deal at that time

Hossein Khosrow Ali Vaziri (The Iron Sheik), from Iran, won the title in Dec 1983 but lost it a month later to Hulk Hogan

Rodney Agatupu Anoa'i (Yokozuna) was actually American, so when he won it in 1993, that didn't make a difference

And so it wasn't until Sheamus won it in 2009 that it went to a non American...first time in 26 years

So in reality the list of non American/Canadian title holders is just three

And just in case you were wondering, Triple H is the person who has won the WWE title more then anyone else ever, he is credited with 8 title reigns....behind him is The Rock with 7 and then Hogan/Austin/Cena with 6

Kane was born in Spain so he would count as the first European to a hold a World Title in the WWE if there wasn't one before him.

Are there many wrestlers working together at the moment that do not get on.. at all? any public fueds that are well known? Bret Hart and HHH and Michaels for example.. Or is that finished with?

Im probably leaving this open to a lot of gossip on forums so apologies.

Bruno Sammartino was born in Italy and Pedro Morales is Puerto Rican, they both won it before Inoki

Why was Jericho demoted to mid-card level after his Undisputed Championship reign? During that reign he proved himself as an able champion and drew tons of heat on a regular basis, but after losing the belt, apart from one or two high profile feuds he was basically mid-carder when Raw's stale main event scene really needed someone like him
