Kearney, despite scoring a hat trick, has been crap.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,285 ✭✭✭✭Exclamation Marc

So many simple errors that keep bringing Benetton back in. Only themselves to blame if they don't win this.

  • Registered Users Posts: 798 ✭✭✭Rockbeast2

    Lucky there. Terrible kick.

    * Kearney's missed a tackle or two alright.

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,669 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

    Bloody hell

More kicks out on the full.

Shockingly poor performance all things considered for Leinster.

Defending for their lives to save a win despite having an extra man for 32 minutes.

Benetton have just kept coming and coming and we keep making errors.

Very bitty performance. It's the first game of the season, with a third string side so that's to be expected. Thought our pack was impressive when we managed to actually keep possession. Made good metres and pushed Benneton back.

Happy enough with that. Plenty to work on but there won't be too many teams coming away from Treviso with a BP win this season.

Game time for a lot of younger guys, all very scrappy but sure look, job done

Who was the commentator on eir sport? He seemed to be fairly clueless at times

Happy with the result. Good start.

A lot of teams won’t come away from Treviso with points this season.

Probably the same guy who was on rugby pass.

Dunno if he'd ever watched a game of rugby before.

Two birr men played for Leinster yesterday!

I think people aren't giving Benetton enough credit.

Crowley has them playing an extremely effective brand of rugby which their entire squad has bought into. Yes they went down to 14. But they lost a winger and they're more than happy to play 10 man rugby for multiple phases. We saw that in the RDS last season.

Leinster could have been better with the ball but as far as first season hit outs goes I thought it was pretty good.

Special mention for Ben Whitehouse. I know rugby is an extremely hard game to ref but there were 2 stark non calls that were just black and white.

JGP had an absolute shocking brain fart with the quick tap and go from 5 out. But how did Whitehouse miss literally the entire Benetton team being offside?! Not a single one of them retreated..

Second one is Adam dives on a loose ball and is given no chance to play it by the Benetton player. Literally just dives on top of him. Frustrating non calls that both had big impacts.

JGP had a mixed bag but I really forgot just how good his passing can be.

His ability to whip a ball 25-30 metres without any massive wind up is incredibly impressive.

Tomane was quite effective with his carrying. Was easily his best performance for Leinster so far. I checked the official Pro 14 site and he's down for 7 defenders beaten. I'd like to see him develop a passing game during his time here too. But for a first hit out it was a good performance. A decent platform to build upon.

I think he was decent last season, nothing spectacular but good overall. Now he is settled in and with the team over 12 months I expect a step up and he showed that at weekend.....

First time we've had JGP, Lowe and Fardy in the same squad! Happy days.

Think Pattersons time in limited in Leinster now. Saw Osborne in an A game a few weeks back and he has a lovely pass. Keen to see how he gets on.

Ospreys were very soft against Ulster. No front foot ball the whole game. Reasonably beefy pack with Tomane, Lowe and Ferg to get us over the gainline should be enough. Weather meant to be appalling

He was lifting in the captains run and one of the locks came down full force on his foot. Full fracture of his foot so could be 8-10 weeks.

Is Cian Kelleher injured? Looking like a bad idea for him to move back if hes not injured and not making the 23 during this world cup period.

    From Leinster:
    New Queuing System

    Dear xxx

Please note ahead of our game against Ospreys in the RDS tomorrow night, there will be a new queuing system in place across all entrance gates.

All of our entrance gates will now be split by Priority Season Ticket Holder and General Access lanes.

We hope that the dedicated Priority lanes will offer improved speed of entry and access to the grounds for all our Season Ticket Holders.

You can continue to enter the grounds by using any gate. We ask you to please keep an eye out for the Priority lane signs and to follow these for Season Ticket Card / mobile scanning and entry.

Adam Byrne really needs to leave..in and out of squads constantly.

I would have thought so. That said there were never any problems with ticket scanning / entry in the RDS.

Yeah, you'd be better off using the normal queue you'd imagine.

The first home game is always a disaster with people picking up season pack and trying to get entry

Maybe it’s just for this game so regular fans can not get stuck in a huge queue fof STH trying to get in etc

No mention of it 'just being for this game' however, your opinion has been noted. :)

Season ticket pack collection is not where tickets are checked at entry and never has been, so that would have zero effect on queuing in. There'll be more or less the same amount of STH attending this game as any other.

It's not going to make much difference but is likely just something (a dedicated STH entrance) that they're trying to make a 'perk'.
