    Hi guys,

I'm in my last year of a Business & German in TCD. I'm thinking about doing a masters in digital marketing, possibly in DCU or UCD.

I would like to learn how to build great websites and do some freelance work privately a I've heard it's quite lucrative. I also have an interest in how to build websites.

Is this possible to do? Or is the market saturated with too many people offering similar services?

A MSc in Digital Marketing is not going to give you the skills required to walk out a web designer. It might touch on content management systems and html but that's it.
As you say the market is saturated will people offering these services most without any skill at all at their chose profession.

Of course, it's possible! I also want to get master's degree in Digital Marketing in the next few years. Right now I'm writing assignment for that purpose. I've already found some interesting samples and ideas for it, so I hope I'll write my assignment on time. Guys from one reliable writing service help me to check my writing for grammar and spelling errors.

A MSc in Digital Marketing is not going to help you to become a freelance web designer.

Hi there Op just spotted your post. I would suggest you do a course in a general computing course or in an interactive multimedia course that have a higher level learning of web programming and web development while learning code such as HTML, javascript and PHP be the main ones.

You need to develop web design, web development and web programming skills to become a web designer. Digital marketing just enhance those skills its only marketing and promoting products online rather than the usual means of marketing the principles are the same just need to learn extra things like SEO, CMS, CRM and google analytics. There aren't many courses that combine both web programming/design/development with digital marketing after degree level.

You need to further your research on courses that might offer an combination of both or dip in one area more than the other the odd few courses might do that at a level 8/9. Postgraduate courses other than at Master level might offer courses you are looking for at cert or diploma level might specialise. Look into the springboard courses might specialise as well. Online courses might be another option or distance/night classes if you didn't want to do a day/part/full time course.

    Best of luck!
