Amazingly I can't vote.. I was deleted from the Fingal Register. (their words) just found out yesterday.

Apparently, my parents filled out a form stating that its just the 2 of them living at their address (true) last year. So my name was taken off the Fingal register,, I was not notified of this... , Only when my voting card didn't arrive at my parents house did I check,, quickly tried to sort it out,, but was too late as cards arrived after cut off point of May 8th... lady said in Fingal Co Co there are loads of similar cases.. as you can imagine f**king fuming..

So you're complaining the register is being kept up to date ?

So what you want is a "I spoiled my vote" option?

I'm not an Irish citizen, there are people who live abroad and can't travel yet are very interested in the outcome, get a grip.

Was a referendum ever so "done to death" by both sides and the media. I can't really remember the divorce referendum.

Am I alone in saying "thankfully polling day has arrived" and can't wait till next week when it is all over?

It was back in the days before social media, branded jumpers and accessories. People can't even go to the jacks now without sharing the fact.

Fair enough, now turn on your tongue-in-cheek detection system :)

I don't know where my polling card is gone

    and I don't care either

I voted this morning without one, not required, just bring id.

I don't get the point in gloating about not using your vote though.

There is a view poll button, you didn't have to vote.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

People have been hung, shot and worse to have an opportunity to vote. Don't píss it away, whatever way you're voting.

Not voting is something to be embarrassed about, not gloated about. Plenty of people in the world would love to have a free vote on anything.

Regardless of your view on the matter, yay or nay, get out and vote.

Plenty of groups out campaigning this morning. Is there not supposed to be a moratorium since 2pm yesterday?

That's exactly whats happening the liberal extreme left has a tendancy to shout down and dehumanize anyone that doesn't agree with them as a Nazi or Trump or some other b****x.

Was walking down henry street last week and some yungwan on a loudspeaker had been screaming 14,000 women had been prosecuted for having abortions abroad in the last year, and her harem of beats cackling around her.

Also there was a flag of kekistan, linked to the american alt right and neo nazi groups set up on a campaigning group stand (in O'connell st.), they weren't supportig the women you mention let's say. So maybe not all are nazis, but definitely there are some close enough.

I, unfortunately lost my vote as I've been in the UK too long. I voted based on my sister's preference who came home from continental Europe to cast her vote.

If a comment like mine stops some from commenting, then I doubt they'd comment on any issues!

When one makes their views public, they are open to criticism. That's not limited to here!

    Give it a rest.
Get in a scrap in the other thread.

My polling station was busy at 7am this morning, full of Yes voters.

I had to queue to vote and I voted yes.

I didnt mind a bit of a wait, sure havent I been waiting 35 years already?[/QUOTE]

    Brilliant!

Moratorium on TV & Radio from yesterday.

I think you can campaign/canvass today but not within a set distance (is it 50m?) from a polling station?

Saw a few Yes people on the bridges around Cork on my way into work but none on my drive to the polling station which was in the back arse of nowhere.

    I voted Yes.

    Big yes from me.

I wonder will we see the usual rural /urban divide on this.

    Wonder what Donegal will vote.
