Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

After Hours Crazy Permaban

    I have been permanently banned from after hours for posting a link from twitter from an already viral tweet. The rule I alleged broken is because my post contained a naked person image. (False). I would like to state that it is clear nobody in the picture is fully naked. This is the same as posting an image of a footballer taking his top off when celebrating a goal? Do these warrant banning also? If they don't well this proves major inconsistencies within Board.ie moderation.
    In addition I didn’t even post an image I posted the link of a tweet. I had no intention on showing the image to people as I had zero control whether the image from the tweet would automatically show or not show.
    I have already PM's the mod who banned me (Grinchbot). Mod wont lift ban. I want to pursue an appeal.

    After reading the terms and conditions I asked the moderator what rule have I broken, he failed to advise.

    I posted an already viral twitter link to a popular thread that I started. The image in the link contained a drag image which obviously relates to the content of the thread. It was not just some random image. I posted the link to get people’s opinion, not to offend anybody. The fact that the image went viral online shows that it is not pornographic. If the image was deemed pornographic it would be highly illegal considering there is a child in the image, it went viral on all social media platforms so I fail to see how they would be allowed share such “illegal” photo’s.

    I did not intend for the image to be shown on the thread automatically, however when I posted the twitter link it just appeared. I tried to rectify this but wasn’t able. I would also like you to take into consideration of the visible mass support on the thread who believe my ban was extremely unfair. A permanent ban was far too harsh in my opinion.

    Problem is now solved, I agreed to serve smaller ban.
