I've decided its best to create a single thread to cover speed and ping tests, you can see the old locked threads for speed and ping tests still though.

This thread will give info on speed achievable and also ping test results which will be beneficial to gamers.

    Rules before you post:
    - You MUST post a speedtest from speedtest.net
    - You MUST post ping test results from pingtest.net
    - You MUST post your ISP (product type also ala cable, adsl etc)
    - If you want you can post your location
    - NO off-topic discussions
    My results:
    ISP: Opal Telecom

mmmmmmm, I think I'm being lied to, It must be the vodafone switchover that has made my internet/phoneline desperate because it happened around the 31st of october (remember halloween night) even though when I rang vodafone they insisted that it had not been switched over yet and I had to contact BT

Are phonecalls okay for you? do they sound clear & I've emailed Vodafone over the issue & posted in the vodafone forum on boards.ie so they have to deal with it quickly.

    Drogheda. Eircom 7mb.

5 mins before that Ping test, I got an F grade from Dublin server!

It's awfully slow this afternoon. My speed keeps changing. If I test it at 2am, I think I get 5.25 mb - 5.50mb speeds.

Are other peoples speeds always consistent all day? Am I being ripped off with this kind of speed during the day? Is it Eircoms fault or something else??
