    Hi Folks,

As you may or may not know, there's currently a review being done of all the Hosted forums (link) - basically we're looking through them all and seeing which ones are very active and can be made into full forums, and which are completely devoid of life and can be archived.

This forum seems to fall somewhere in the middle; it's very quiet, but seeing as there has been a bit of activity in the last 12 months or so, we wanted to check in with the people who use it to see if there's any desire to keep it open. We don't want to archive a forum that could potentially be "revived" so if people are interested, we'll keep it open. However, we'll be reviewing the activity level in about 6 months time, and if there forum is still this quiet, then it's most likely to be archived.

If the forum is kept open, the only change will be that the forum won't reside in the "Hosted" category any more - it'll be moved to a different category ie: Rec/Soc/Society/whichever is most appropriate.

If the forum is archived, all the content will still be available to view and the forum will be moved to a different 'archive' section - privacy and hidden status will remain in place so if the forum was private and hidden before, only those who had access to it will be able to view it after it is archived.

If anyone is interested in keeping the forum open, please give your thoughts below.

I'd like it to be kept open. I know Phantom is gone but maybe for nostalgic reasons, it's never all that far from my thoughts. I have such fond memories from my teenage years and I'd really like to have that opportunity to be able to discuss the good old days of the Two Pete's talking rubbish :) I know the forum isn't very active but I think there could be enough people as nostalgic as me who would change that. Cheers

Traffic is minimal in here but it serves a lovely purpose and it's a forum i always check when i see it's had a new post. Phantom (simon maher, SP, JC, Pearl, D Byrne and a few others shaped what i listened to and what i listen to, who i'm friends with and have left me with memories I still love. Long drives, ex girl friends, times to remember, great music, great memories.

This Forum should be kept open in my opinion. There are at least some posts added every year to this Forum, whether it be about a particular band, a nostalgic look book at the station that was or a further entry to my thread about where are they now (plug!). I would also agree with the points made above by Lordgoat - particularly those I have highlighted.

    Hi everyone,

While there has been an uptick in activity this year, the Phanton FM forum is still too quiet to merit a full forum or sub forum of its own. As a result, we will be archiving the forum next week.

We recommend starting a thread dedicated to Phantom FM in the Radio forum where you can discuss old shows, bands you discovered, etc. This could benefit from the added footfall of the Radio forum.

The content of the forum will still be accessible. The forum itself will be moved to an archive and can be visited in the future for nostalgic reasons.
