Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    1,024 PIXELS LONGEST SIDE - NO COMMENTS IN THREAD

    Welcome to the Random Photo Thread 56. This thread is for random pictures of random things in random places by random people – In other words, this is the place for random photos. When we say random, we mean that there's no set theme.

    All are welcome. Your content is valued, both regular posters and new, experienced photographers and beginners. No expectation of quality or content. It's for everyone.

    PICTURE OF THE WEEK (POTW) - Please "Thank" images that you like. This forms the basis of the Picture of the Week (POTW), which is posted four weeks after the images to allow viewers to vote. The picture with most thanks in that 4-week period is awarded POTW and the four nearest challengers are awarded an Honourable Mention.


    THREAD RULES - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

    1. General Charter Rules Apply. Please read.

    2. Original Work - The photographs posted should be your own work.

    3. Image Size - All images must be 1,024 pixels or less on the longest side. If your image breaks this rule, you will be notified of the rule breach by PM and given time to resize. After 24 hours, the image will be deleted. We really do not want to delete any images so please make an effort to comply with this rule.

    4. C&C - Images posted will be assumed to be ‘C&C Allowed’. If you would not like Comments or Critique on your images please add “No C&C”. See also Rule 5.

    5. Comments Thread - We welcome comments and critique but there is a separate comments thread for pictures posted in this thread. Please use this to ask questions, give feedback or compliments. All comments in the main thread will be deleted.

    6. Picture Link - We strongly encourage you to make your post a direct link to the site on which the picture is hosted (e.g. Flickr, 500pix etc). This often allows people to look at a bigger version of the picture and to explore some of your other work.

    7. No arguments - Self-explanatory really. If you have an issue with a photo, please use the ‘Report Post’ feature so that a Mod can assess the situation – Please refrain from personal attacks directed at the poster.

    8. Max of two images per post – Once posted, allow some more people to post, then feel free to post again. Do this as often as you like!

    9. Enjoy and have fun. We look forward to your contributions.
