Did Phoebe have a boyfriend working in the laundrette? Elly was hanging around with Alex and Phoebe at one time

I assume Juliette left school to be an influencer sugar baby escort

Yeah, young lad, brown-ish hair if I recall but can't remember a name or much about storyline.

Is fair city ever going to be back on Tuesdays again???? Most of the proper uk soaps cut back for a few months but no sign of fair city returning to Tuesdays!
It’s actually worse than ever at the moment, that olwyn/ray/Nora storyline is beyond uninteresting 🙄 the majority of the scenes are all shot outside and it’s very very annoying. The block storytelling seems to be worst than ever and the Sunday cast changeover needs to be less obvious!

I think they want us to forget it!

I would hope so...... but we have to remember the medical clinic is owned and ran by Dolores who is a hairdresser with no experience of running a medical practice or professional medical experience. I dont know if this situation could happen in real life where anyone can open a medical centre.

Also, I seem to remember Will was some sort of a holistic / alternative health practitioner (as was the clinic). He strangely progressed from this to being a proper medical nurse type almost overnight.

I wonder are we heading for a coercive control story between Juliette and James (J&J)

I thought Will was a private palliative care nurse

He was indeed, but when that clinic thing opened and Will started working there, it was actually an alternative health practice (reiki, aromatherapy, massage etc). Somehow it went from that to being a full blown medical centre.

James is clearly a bit of a creep. Wants to be 'with' Juliet but doesn't want her as a girlfriend or to be in a relationship with her.

His 'I'm shy with women' routine when he first met her was clearly an act. He might well have several women on the go for all Juliet knows about him.

Who took over from Dr. Judy and Bob's brother and son at the local medical clinic with Ama was the nurse?

Yes but in real life things dont always end up the "right" way....as i said before i expect he'll get off , for now....

I think everything will be going great for Will and it’ll look like he’s going to get off but phoebe will overhear him when he’s saying something nasty to someone and she’ll turn on him and she’ll end up helping send him down.

  • Registered Users Posts: 84,901 ✭✭✭✭JP Liz V1

Will mentioned his father being a nasty homophobic, I'd like to see his family

I hope Will is sent down, as an actor he is great as the villain manipulative abuser Will but he needs comeuppance, not killed off

Hope he gets off and starts back at his own tricks...otherwise what else is happening...f all imo.. Orla fat-feeding Ray with cakes......:P

I’ve a soft spot for Will apart from the fact we share a name.
I sort of find him interesting.

Sure hes not with Juliet hes just renting her. He probably has a heap of call girls on standby.

They had some high quality baddies back in the day like Billy Meehan, Terence and Paddy Bishop.

Trouble is they killed them off.

Terence murdering Lana and what happend after with Leo was great television, its a pity they have reduced Leo's character to just a few minutes every few episodes.

Maybe Phoebe hears Will saying pity I didn't pour that bleach down your thoart to Cris and she busts in yelling
I belived you dad how could be so evil something like that

I wonder once Phoebe does find out what Will is like will she apologise to Cris who no doubt will forgive her

Or 'sugar babies' or whatever you want to call them. He seems to be absolutely loaded and probably has four or five women on the go.

I'd say Phoebe finds out at some point what her father is really like and is horrified. She's always been a nice person and I don't think this phase of her being a jerk to everyone (because of Will's lies) will last much longer.

I wouldn't bank on it. More like Phoebe joins in blaming Cris for refusing to drink the bleach.

Will would have twisted it anyway and say Cris went the drink bleach and he tried to stop and that's Cris smashed his face with a saucepan

Mairead believed all that sh1te at the start too, maybe that's why she isn't telling Phoebe to have a dose of cop on. Did Mairead ever even apologise to Cris after that?

    I don't think so

From our viewpoint looking at a soap it's easy to find Phoebe's stance totally irrational.

However I think in real life it's very understandable why she's behaving as she is.

Will is her father and seems to have been a good one to her by all accounts. She adores him and has an idolised opinion of him.

She didn't see him abusing Cris or beating him up. Even if deep down she has doubts about the veracity of her father's innocence, she may not be able to cope with the truth about her father. Her coping mechanism is stonewall denial. To her maintaining this 'image' of a loving dad is more important than practically any evil he perpetrates. She doesn't want, or is unable, to cope with her world being turned upside down.

Think of any of us here who had a great relationship with our dad. We didn't see him doing something and he denied it.

If I found out my dad was secretly gay and had been cheating on my ma with the local bistro owner I'd be reconsidering everything I "knew" about him.
