Moving hydraulic ram on tipper trailer to increase tipping angle

Have a tipper trailer that I would like to tip to a steeper angle than what it is presently. Just wondering does moving the ram back by about 400mm make much difference. Bit of work and labour involved cutting and welding heavy plates on trailer so it'd want to be worthwhile.

How many stages are on the current ram? You could just get a ram with an extra stage. The initial angle of the ram might need to be increased as well to allow for the extra force needed.

It is a 2 stage ram. I think the initial angle of ram wont change if brackets are moved same distance but its fairly heavy duty ram so should be able to lift anything a 11 foot trailer can hold
