Light rain has increased in intensity to moderate/borderline heavy however of note is the size of the drops.... They're huge.

It's horrible here in Portlaoise all day , torrential rain that just eases back to heavy rain . Lots of flooding on the sides of some of the back roads , drive safely folks .
