    Psycho 2

On paper this movie should be terrible but it just works. The plot is excellent.

The Field... I remember when this was in cinema in 1990... I think it's just a great film to be honest.

And what about the "people think are rubbish" bit?
    The Field is highly regarded.

Ten to Midnight, starring Charles Bronson.

“This is a scummy little sewer of a movie“ - Roger Ebert (zero stars).

Go on outta that Rodge. I watched it last night, loved every second of it. It’s like Dirty Harry meets Death Wish meets Halloween, with a sprinkle of soft porn here and there, some Ted Bundy kinda stuff too. The killer running around in the nip reminded me of Patrick Bateman at times.

On Netflix now. Worth a watch if you like dodgy 80s flicks.

Sarah Jessica Parker's first role I think.

Shes in Footloose from a few years earlier

Cardboard Gangsters. Anyone that's into real life Dublin gangland or lives or grew up in one of the many areas in the capital blighted by crime would appreciate how realistic it was. Seems to be a film of ridicule for many. I thought it was excellent

Idiocracy is well enough known, Mike Judge was badly let down by the film only getting a very limited release as it cuts a little too close to the bone for Americans

I'd believe it, I never got into SCC, felt unnecessary for me TBH.

    Summer Glau is never unnecessary

I watched Serenity for the first time purely because of the picture of her on the front of the dvd case in HMV

A romcom starring Michelle Pfeiffer and George Clooney? Each with a weird kid? Sounds like a recipe for disaster, and George reportedly wishes he hadn't done it, but somehow (in my opinion) One Fine Day avoids most of the potential pitfalls and ends up being rather enjoyable.

edit: I just watched that trailer, and basically the whole movie is in it. Not that spoilers are a huge problem in romcoms ... :o

From out there on the moon, international politics look so petty. You want to grab a politician by the scruff of the neck and drag him a quarter of a million miles out and say, ‘Look at that, you son of a bitch’.

I thought it was great, gets a lot of bad press around here however I believe that's down to our leading man. Whether he was acting or just being himself I thought he portrayed the role perfectly.

Demolition Man (1993) is always fun to watch.

    yer one ruined that film.

And the lack of sympathy for the guys who got wasted early on made them very unsympathetic characters

nice visuals and some good world building but that's about it

    It gets better with age.

    The Wizard.

Critics say it was just one big ad for the NES, and they are right but it was good fun all the same.

Bedazzled. Not sure if people think it's that rubbish though.

Was going to say Galaxy Quest but wtf that has a 7.3 rating on imdb.

What's hard is to think of movies people have actually seen/know about. I can think of lots of made for tv or low budget movies I like that most would regard as rubbish.
