They did play in the 90s. Slane in 95 I'm pretty sure and lansdowne road in 99.

Haven't a clue about Stipe and Cobain. What do you think?

No but he probably wanted to. Would have been a step up for Kurt from Courtnay.

Would Kurt still be alive if he and Stipe hooked up?

Was it not rumoured back in the day?..

It's pretty concerning that I'd just imagine something like that if not..

I want to apologise for dragging down the tone of the place too..it was rather crass..

No need to apologize, we are all educated adults here, right?

No idea - knew that Stipe was gay but didn't hear Cobain and him had a relationship, makes no different to me their sexuality , George Michael and Stipe yeah but not Cobain

    Ever see Nirvana live?

    No..

(Ok.. just googled it.. Stipe had to deny it anyway, so I definitely didn't just make it up..)

Do you remember where you were when you heard Kurt was dead?..

Coming back from school I think
Was pretty pissed off as I had a ticket reserved to see them know Ireland

Out of a scale 1-10 how mad would you be if none of the restrictions were lifted next week?

Maybe a 3. I feel for my parents in particular (& my hair!) but if it’s necessary, I’ll go with the flow

Are you good at biting your tongue when you need to?

  • Registered Users Posts: 601 ✭✭✭Snails pace

No I'm not. There was a few times I should of kept my mouth shut.

Do people confide in you ?

    I don't know really..

You do know it's 'should have', and not 'should of' yeah?

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,990 ✭✭✭✭Purple Mountain

I do know that but I wouldn't feel the need to highlight it on a casual chat forum.

    How is your spelling?

To thine own self be true

    Speling, not bad

I'm glad you pointed that out because I wouldn't of slept ;)

When a non- native English speakers speaks English which is more important? Ability to speak grammatically correct or be understood?

Understanding (my grammar & spelling are error strewn)

Are you good at giving directions?

I don't know - I've never seen the people I gave directions to again , I hope they arrived safely

Do you think one's interpretation of directions is shaped by one's gender?

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,990 ✭✭✭✭Purple Mountain

My directions would be very colloquial.. Go past Mrs Ryan's cottage, past Mikey Bourke's silage field and it's the house with the labrador in the garden. Haha.

Would that amuse or frustrate you?

    No, I think it's great

Ever say " Just down the road" Or " Besides your man's place " ?
