Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Athlone Boat Club Regatta

    Athlone Boat Club are holding their annual regatta on Lough Ree this Saturday. There will be 389 crews taking part in 131 races from 8am to 8pm.

    Not sure what the photo opportunities will be like as there is limited enough 'bank' at Coosan Point where it is taking place.

    I would say so. I must go up and have a look and see what way the course is laid out, see how close they get to the shore.

    There is the course at 200mm from the shore. I would presume that's the finish line rather than the start line, so they would be coming right at you with their backs to you.
