Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Shock horror that I'll say appetite for destruction by GNR is on my list. I also think the early led zep albums were nearly perfect. Led zep 3 doesn't get the love it should and okay it's a different type of album compared to led zep 2 and 4 but it's still a great album.

    Like 2 recent posters I was shocked appetite for destruction took so long to be mentioned. Also to reinforce 3 others I still listen to, Metallica black album, def leopard hysteria and Michael Jackson bad.

    Do artists release albums any more these days, genuine question.

    Yep, oddly enough, Acoustic version of You're Crazy is daycent.

    A mate of mine taped Appetite for me when it first came out, before they really took off, and I secretly quite liked most of it. I used to call it Appetite for ****e though :D

    Agree, it's better - I have it on the Super Deluxe Edition - nice set, shame there's no One In A Million (remember hearing a busker singing it on Grafton Street many years ago)

    I was a Radiohead fan at the time but I refused to buy In Rainbows because it was one of those copy-protected fake "CDs". One x One by the Foo Fighters was another. I picked up the latter years later in a proper CD version. Never did get back into Radiohead though. Fcuk 'em anyway.

    Probably won't get much if any agreement on this one, but Wheatus' self titled album Wheatus doesn't have a bad track for me. Some might say it doesn't have a good track but it is very a consistent, albeit a very short, album.

    Some great selections mentioned in this thread that I would fully agree with. Certainly in the case of Rumours, Debut, Dark Side Of The Moon, The Black Album, Leftism and Revolver (IMO the real peak of The Beatles as opposed to Sergeant Pepper).
