Uileann pipes are a serious undertaking no wonder times at a premium. Takes most people a year to get any way comfortable.

well yes and no, most of these tunes are pretty simple compared to the full500 notes at 120bpm format that trad music dispences . They're much easier to learn in a short amount of time... that and it's pretty much the only tune I can play on it :D
I litterally spent a month and a half, learning JUST that

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,592 ✭✭✭BGOllie

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,592 ✭✭✭BGOllie

finished another Amiga track cover recently .

This prompted composer, Barry Leitch to contact me and we started chatting and ended up doing a video chat together for my podcast. This should be all ready and released Saturday.
On a side note I've also convinced David Wise and Chris Huelsbeck to join me at some point, well, when we find a suitable time :)

The owner of c64audio.com was notified this week that Anthony Lees, the composer of that track, passed away in a car accident in 2016. :(

There's an obituary for Anthony here:

    Amazing cover though.

And now I've just seen that Ben Daglish who also composed the last ninja soundtrack has passed away on Monday. His wife posted it using his Facebook account earlier today.

Such a shame, died too young.

Great job, Ollie. I've listened to this a few times since yesterday.

It really shows up how truly awful the music is in the last few Yoshi games (including Crafted World, out tomorrow...)

    Night and day...

Very sad to hear. And Ben Daglish only a couple of years ago too albeit due to illness. Pretty sure someone posted a link to one of the songs from a performance of the Fastloaders with Ben Daglish not long before his death, and not sure if it counts as a cover if it's the original composer performing it ... but here goes :

Also the Fastloaders ninja musicology playlist can be found on spotify here
