Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Jonathan King,who was convicted of molesting teenage boys.He comes across as a right creep who insists he did nothing wrong,instead of keeping a low profile as you'd expect he seems to still try and reclaim his former place in the spotlight.He was rearrested recently over seperate claims.

    Trying to think of an Irish example of a celebrity whose reputation plumented (Twink is more regarded as a bit of a joke than vilified I think).Michael Cleary,the so called Singing Priest fits the bill I reckon.He really was a celebrity of sorts in the 70s and 80s.He was harldy ever off The Late Late,especially if they had any kind of debate about religion or social issues and he had a colum in the Sunday Independent and a phone in radio show.Its not so much the fact that he had a secret mistress with whom he'd two children while he was preaching about moral issues to the public (even though it kind of creepy that she was 17 and he in his mid 30s when it started,more the fact that he refused to acknowledge them right up to his death.

    Forgot about Chris Brown.Before the Rhianna thing he had this kind of clean cut image,careers never really recovered since then.All you hear about him now is when hes having another meltdown,getting into girly scuffles in nightclubs or crashing his car.

    Sports is riddled with minor figures who've gotten into trouble, premership football players or NFL,basketball players going on trial for rape,assault etc.But yeah Pistorious and Armstrong are the two who really stand out as monumental figures in their field whose reputations have been totally laid low.Armstrong has been exposed as a total sham,and a not very likeable,arrogant individual to boot who tried everything he could to smear those making the allegations.From an Irish context Michelle De Bruin is someone who for a while after the wins was a national hero,and even though she technically still has the medals shes become an embarrasment,the nation would rather forget her.

    This is probably stretching the definition of celebrity a bit,this guy is best known for playing Random Task in the first Austin Powers movie,its probably the only thing most people would know him from.Now hes going to spend the rest of life in jail most likely.

    Leslie Grantham aka Dirty Den from Eastenders.He was always going to be skating on thin ice being an ex con who had served a sentence for murder.Hes pretty much disappeared off the scene since he was fired for masturbating on a webcam and slagging off fellow cast members though in fairness I thought it was pretty unfair the way he was set up by the red top that did the "sting" on him.

    One of the actors from Glee has been arrested for downloading child porn.I have never actually watched it so never heard of him prior to this but seeing as it was a big show up to a few years ago fits here.

    I think if hes guilty of anything its just going out of fashion.Also Jade Goody didnt exactly have much of a fall in public opinion really.Its not like she had a great public image to begin with.
