Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Over on the Gigs & Events forum they've been running a big discussion thread on the upcoming Arthurs Day gigs on September 24.

    Now there's a competition to win tickets to one of the sold out gigs.
    We have two tickets to Vicar Street to give away to a lucky Boards.ie member.

    On stage that night will be Black Swan Effect, OK Go, Razorlight, Reverend and The Makers, Sugababes, The Blizzards, The Magic Numbers and you'll never know who else!

    We had some fantastic entries to this competition. It was a close one - there were loads of great photos to choose from, and that's not just lip service - genuinely some great shots. I didn't expect the creativity.

    We shortlisted and chose the eventual winner independently with Guinness's PR company and they went for this shot by kingofslaves as their favourite, simply because it kinda encapsulates a bit of what Arthur's Day is about for them:
