Wish I had a few pound on Jono. Had I saw the weigh ins I probably might have. Looking good here, timing his feints and testing Quigg's reactions out.

Quigg is looking a bit ragged here but he's got a big dig on him. Good stuff so far.

Quigg looks done already and looks like he knows he can't get near Carroll. It's all about not getting hurt for him now.

He's hoping for an Eddie special on the judges cards

If Jono could punch, Quigg would be gone!

Come to think of it... Has anyone ever seen Scott Quigg and Charlie Zelenoff in the same room at the same time?

hes got a great mental attitude....he came away from farmer fight and took every positive thing he could from it....it spurred him on rather than knocked him back.

Jono full of energy and variation..

    Quigg still looks unmarked...

If carroll had power he could be very good.

Quigg is looking more 81 than 31..

Mentally scarred for life I'd say.

The longer this goes on the more Quiggs corner should took at throwing in the towel.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,411 ✭✭✭weemcd

They should probably call this. Quigg can't win bar a Hail Mary KO.

Joe Gallagher proving he's past it as well

His fighters have no plan B, him and Danny Vaughan are the 2 most overrated trainers going

Gallagher comes across as smug dickhead

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,925 ✭✭✭normanoffside

Quigg is like a drunk man at the bar insisting he is sober, while Gallagher is the weak barman who keeps giving him more pints.

You'd think crolla would try get in his ear a bit more and get it called.

Gallaghers deluded and crolla won't open his mouth.

    Sad to see really.

I think sky are going over the top with Quigg. He's getting outboxed but not getting a hiding. I wouldn't be pulling him out.

Fully agree, it’s not like Jono is doing massive damage to him, easily out boxing yeah but macklin is way overboard imo.

Great win for Jono, Quigg was awful.

Jono’s lack of power will prevent him from winning any world title though, you need a bit more than what he has.

I kind of get you but he had absolutely no prosepct of winning even a round.

Quigg looked old in the first round. It's funny how it just seems to desert you, those fast twitch reflexes overnight, gone and you just can't get yourself out of the way. Must be hard to accept. Felt a little sorry for him.

Big win for Carroll. Eliminator next maybe for him?
