Lewis hits 16 off one over and a dropped catch by O'Brien off Adair's bowling.

    Windies cruising as expected.

We're incapable of bowling to batsmen like Lewis. Not much of a technique but slogs, and we have no answer.

Poor all round batting again. It's sad how much Irish cricket has regressed under CI.

65/1 off 11 overs.we may pray for an English style collapse from the windies but that wont happen.

    We're holding our catches tbf.

KOB dropped Lewis when he hadn't many!

KOB dropped Lewis when he hadn't many!

Fair. Wasn't glued to it tbh. Although all 5 wickets were catches and some were pretty well held.

O'Brien could be dropped? No runs, dropped catch. Could free up a spot for McCollum to open and move Delany to 5th.

Funny how he played McBrine and Singh, brought Dockrell but didn't use him and left Tector at home. Not to mention Delany. Lots of spin options.

Probably 100 runs short in the end. A good game, an enjoyable game. We held our heads high and

Too many give away wickets.. too many guys getting out to average deliveries with poor shot selection and execution...You’d think 280 might be getable if not for 6 wickets being down... run rate has been reasonable.

Fûck sake, no dive, just sauntering to the other end, poor from Adair.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,695 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

Bout time the umpires started calling some of these bouncers as wides

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,800 ✭✭✭county

220/8 with a few overs to go,some boundaries would be useful now.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,695 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

235 probably the best score we can get to after that wicket fell. Just not going to be anyway competitive. Pity, we were much better and finding the boundary, early in the innings certainly today but still loads of give away wickets.

How the sweet fûck is that not a wide. Poor end from Ireland but the umpiring,,, hmmm

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,478 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

237/9 in the end. McCarthy with a six to finish. At least the 59 overs were batted out.

Same old problems. Several ‘contributing’ but AGAIN...only one batsman getting 50+.
