Change of pace, here's a video of a north face couloir ascent I did recently.

    Here's the video:

I took this photo from a neighboring peak we ascended to get some beta on our route. It's the wide gully that leads up from the lower right of this image.

Always enjoy your photos mate. Was in Vancouver last July visiting friends on our way to Alaska. We ran up the Grouse Grind, and did some cycling around the park, our flight to Alaska took us up over BC and teh scenery looked amazing, would love to spend a year there, just hiking and climbing, and hiking some more, beautiful place!

Oh man, the Grouse Grind. It's known locally as the "Gross" Grind. Given how expansive the BC Coast mountains are and how easy access is to a lot of them the mind boggles that so many people repetitively huff up and down that grind in the trees with a nice view of Gondola pylons at the top. Still it's a rite of passage. I've done it once, never again.

Would love to head up to Alaska, have my sights set on doing Denali in the next few years.

Here's a picture from last weekend, Ice Climbing practice a few hours drive North of Vancouver

It was all a DIY job. We booked our own flights with BA, hired a car and toured around. I had a route and itinerary all planned out in advance with some activities booked, and we just went and did it!

Best holiday of my life, amazing place, would love to go back

Sounds great. :) Did you just drop into Anchorage and go from there, then?

yeh flew into achorage toured around for 2.5 weeks, taking in Seward, Kenai Peninsula, Valdez, McCarthy&Kennicott, Denali, etc.

Alaska is not the type of place, that you can just land in and all the touristy stuff and entertainment will be thrown at you, you have to pre-plan, and get outdoors and get stuck in yourself. If you do that, Alaska will be one the best places you'll ever visit.

Yeah, you definitely can't turn up on spec. Were you camping at night? Did you try any halibut? ;)

That's Mount Adams, to the right of it on the horizon (you'll need to squint) is Mount Hood. Two other volcanoes I hope to climb in the coming year. Both of them are fairly straight forward so they could both be climbed in a weekend.

Not as epic as some of the other shots here but this is one of my personal favourites. I took this on Camaderry near Glendalough just after the rain had cleared and the sun broke through clouds giving a nice light on the trees.

A short hike in the rain last year. It was an adventure in and of itself just to cross the river as it had been raining non stop for days before hand. You can see the track here.
