    buried then?

Ahem, just wondering if this is one of those replicas that seems to be going around?

    hope not, but beware.....

Yea i read up a bit on it recently but the box of coins would have been unopened for 15 years or so, little or nothing added to it in that time

    Hi there,

Could someone please tell me the rough value of a gold Krugerand (1977)?

    Hi All,
I recently inherited a large collection of currency. Included are some ploughman notes along with some lady lavery notes some with war codes. Also in the collection are coins (mostly UK & Ireland) and medals (mostly UK & US). The currency is large about 15 plus albums most are of Irish - Uk - Scotland but also from around the world.
Looking for someplace or someone to give a valuation, whytes in Dublin no longer do currency so any suggestions welcome.
Ideally for someone to call (i understand their may be a fee) as it is a lot to bring somewhere. Looking to sell at auction or privately so any feedback welcome.
    Thank You

You could try Mullen's Laurel Park, Bray - very reputable firm and they are just launching a specialist collectables department.

I found a 2p new pence coin when pulling out a kitchen press. It's in bad shape.

Apparently the ones with two pence are worth nothing but the ones with new pence were a limited batch between 79 and 81 which added new instead of two by mistake. Because of their rarity due to a limited run they could be worth between 500 and 1k.

However, is it even worth anything in this shape? Could I get it restored professionally and if so whats the cost or could I sell it in its current shape?

You cant make it out in the second pic, but queen lissy is fully visible when you tilt it in the light but all the gunk is covering it so I'd say it would look decent if all the tar like substance is removed, theres no damage I.e it's not warped or dented and all the ridges are clearly visible, just covered in a tar like substance

I have to dispose of a few gold coins on behalf of an estate. So if I use the spot price of gold on day probate granted, is there a formula for estimating value of individual coins ( 20th century)? agents seem to take a commission of up to 33%?

    Hi All,

In the process of moving to the UK, sorting out various stuff to sell

Have a collection of notes / coins from various countries I've collected over many years. Looking for advice on the best way to sell, what would it be worth.

Already contacted Mullen's Laurel Park, Bray as mentioned in a post above which replied of a reserve of €200-300.

Here's a link to an album with the pictures

    Thank you
