Wow - thanks for the votes and sorry for delay. On my first look at the outcome, I assumed I was in 2nd place!

As regulars will guess - the Moorhen photo was taken on the Dodder at Milltown.

Spring is a great time to watch all birds in action as they hatch/ feed/rear their chicks.

What amazing parents they are.

I'm a regular walker/photographer along a short enough patch of the Dodder- so I kinda get to know the lie of the land( or even the water).
