Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Which of these should I learn for Computer Science?

    Hi there

    Which of these would help in learning the math in Computer Science (classes are from Khan academy)?

    If you don't know, what would be a good order to get a solid grounding in maths (leaving out the really simple stuff like Early Math etc.)?

    I'm thinking
    1. Algebra I
    2. Algebra II
    3. Linear algebra

    4. Precalculus ??
    5. Integral Calculus ???
    6. Differential Calculus ??
    7. Multivariate Calculus


    Are any geometry classes needed for calculus?

    All of them, especially the linalg and any Stats.

    Yeah, I'm quite good at stats.

    But I'm really trying to figure out the order of the calculus modules I should take

    Does this seem right (i.e. should I take Intelgral Calc before Dif and Multi?)

    The usual order would be differential calculus before integral calculus before multivariable calculus.

    Maybe others here have other opinions. I know a few are way more qualified than I am to comment.
