I got a gift of a set of RayBan model 4151 sunglasses & would like to get lenses with my prescription fitted to them to replace the polarized sunglasses ordinary lenses they came with.

My current prescription (varifocal) is with Specsavers.

As they are varifocal, based on my experience I would prefer to do this in bricks & mortar & not online.

Advice appreciated on where is most economic place to get this done.

You really do pay for what you get on this one. Single vision lenses will be most economical at around €50 in most optometrist's practices. Budget varifocal lenses begin around the €100 mark. Better lenses are available and if you want the best with polarised lenses, you'd be looking at ~ €500. Most will have about 4-5 varifocal choices between the 100 & 500, so you can fit it to your budget.

    Thanks

    So far

    Specsavers would do

    45 - my single lens prescription +
    75 - for polarized +
    195 - for varifocal

I asked them to just do single lens polarized Eur120.

They checked in the lab & lab said my prescription was such that they wouldn't risk putting prescription lenses into these RayBans as they were afraid they'd crack them when trying to get the lens into the frame.
