Insurance for foreign drivers

Hi, my girlfriend's looking for car insurance at the moment and is struggling to get a decent price. She's 28, full french licence and 5 years no claims in France. Trouble is as she hasn't driven in her last 5 years of living here her previous experience isn't being recognised and she's being quoted as a first time driver.

Do any insurers accept previous experience from that long back?

Yes we can quote, but unfortunately any driving experience or no claims bonus becomes void after 2 ½ years of non use of the vehicle. We would be delighted to give a quote if you would like to call Gary on 01-2541323.
