Replace Mira Elite ST with Triton T90SR

    Hi all,
Mira Elite stopped working last week so thinking of replacing it with a triton t90sr based on several recommendations on this forum. Checked and its all tiled behind the shower except for a small opening for the pipework and electric cable.

However there is not a lot of room to the right hand side of the unit and am worried that the T90SR will not fit there.

Also as the mira elite is about 75mm taller that the T90SR would the old holes that were drilled in tiles show when the new unit is installed.
    Have attached a pic

    Any help appreciated

You will need to move the pipe & cable a few inches to the left. Not a big deal for a shower installation professional assuming it's not a block wall. There could be two screw holes visible. These would be filled with a dot of white silicone and would be barely visible

    Thanks Sleeper12.

Just did a quick test. Shower is off. Flipped back fuse/circuit breaker. Then switched on the isolation switch and the circuit breaker flipped again.

Turned off isolation switch and then disconnected the live, neutral and earth wires from the shower and once again flipped back circuit breaker and turned on isolation switch again. Same result so might be the isolation switch as opposed to the shower.
Trying to get an electrician for later in the week but might buy new isolation switch first. If its just that then its a cheap fix.

You didn't mention RCBO was tripping in original post. Disconnecting the earth on the shower was all you needed to do :)

Replaced isolation switch this morning and all working fine again. Shower is 13 years old now and bar a few thermal switch replacements hasn't gave any bother. Owes me nothing at this stage. Thanks for the help
