    Hi All,
My wife is thinking about going back to work as a special needs assistant, is there any recommendations of a course to do (online) to help her achieve this?

I think most courses will be online in the coming year.

Contact an ETB that offers the course near you. They tend to be much cheaper than private suppliers, for exactly the same, or often a better qualification.

Make sure any course offers a full award. You want 5M2009. 5M4468, 5M1761, 5M2786 or similar. Major awards.

If you go to qualifax.ie and under 'Course Finder' search for 'special needs assistant' you will get a list of courses from all sorts of providers. The one you want offers a Major award, not a Minor. It should take a year.

    For example: https://killestercollege.ie/kcfcourse/classroom-assistantspecial-needs-assistant/

Be careful of minor or partial awards.
