I was at the Urban Food & Craft Market in St. Catherine's Park on Sunday, it was really lovely. I know it's not Dublin 15 but very nearby.

A few tasty food stalls (organic burgers, Korean burritos, Irish sausages, Belgian waffles, African food that smelled delicious but too spicy for me :D, coffee stand and probably more that I am forgetting) some live music and lots of sunshine made a really surprising and delicious hour for us. There were lots of families there with their picnic blankets with kids running around or in the playground.

It will run every Sunday from June until October, 10am-5pm and is beside the Rangers Offce and the playground.

We visited that market the previous week and it was absolutely rubbish. Looking at the list on Facebook, they definitely seemed to have more stalls there this week. Worth checking Facebook before you go because the week we went it was really dreadful.

I had never heard of it before this one tbh though it seems they have been running for a while. Maybe still finding their feet. It's not huge by any means but was nice in the sun - everything is great when the sun is shining :pac:

There’s huge potential for them to grow, which I’m sure they will.

Not strictly Dublin 15 but I saw The Hole in the Wall advertising this during the week - €35pp, they mention a child's rate is also available. It might be a bit expensive for a walk in the park but I'd be interested to hear if anyone does it what it's like. There is a lot of history in the Phoenix Park so with the right guide it could be great.

I'm not sure what specifically will be on in Blanchardstown Library but might be worth popping in if you're around on Saturday 29th Feb :)

All Fingal St. Patrick's Day Parades have been cancelled including the Blanchardstown one: https://www.fingal.ie/news/seven-st-patricks-day-parades-cancelled?fbclid=IwAR0upbieyIko_PaS-FT8OZoM17-2Ut8uXUPJ-pgrGBdgty7pANilrMnpSQw.

Not too surprising in the current climate.

There is a new food market in Westmanstown every Saturday 9.30am-3.30pm called Hustle Bustle. It started last Saturday and was busy enough with about 7 or 8 stalls, according to their Instagram page they have added a few more this week.

    Fair play to them.

I always thought DIL should have looked to link up with Cafe's in and around the areas that they do the event, to give people who want it somewhere to go for a warm drink and a bit of food after it finished. Having done it a few times myself I always felt it would have been a nice option to have. I done it one year in Melbourne and because they are generally early risers/openers over there, there were plenty of options to go for a coffee and bit of food not long after the event.

Food trucks becoming a lot more common now so hopefully there'll be a lot more of this kind of thing for the event moving forward.

Might be something worth watching if you have any interest in American Football. Or even if you don't 😄

Newly opened The Shackleton Garden in Clonsilla is open to the public from 10am to 3pm, Monday to Thursday, and from 9am to 1pm on Fridays. Not great opening hours but hopefully will improve over time.

Interesting. I've never heard of the Shackleton Garden before, must get up for a look.
