How was the pick up driving on yankee plates? Savage pics though. Also any ideas on where a man would get a set of those roof top lights on the pick up?!?

Just search for cab marker lights on ebay.com
    Plenty there to choose from.

Looking at getting some for my Hilux, but I want small neat LED ones.

Cheers mate, can now do a Trafic clutch in 2 1/2 hrs, never want to see another one again!

That was excavator heaven, got loads more pics. I timed a visit to the Lakes with a VET open weekend. Got a piccies of an SE Davies weekend at Thaxted in 2003 as well, will post next week, off to Charleville tomorrow.

As well as being a rabid Land Rover fanatic, I love old plant and machinery.

Now obviously I wasn't out on the public road with this as that would not be legal, just thought I'd mention that before someone else does :P

The problem is you will tomorrow with an empty trailer and when there is some sort of failure will you tell the guards that you had that on it yesterday. By the way, the weight is not the biggest problem there, but the way its loaded with the weight to the front of the trailer. That pajero has a reasonably high tow capacity but the nose load is only 100kg. That trailer is probably at least 5 times overloaded bearing this in mind.

I don't understand how this pajero is incapable of pulling a 6 wheel trailer (how many axles, I don't know) safely. I have asked this question here to avoid bringing this thread way off topic.

Yeah, you should at least put the dog in the back of the trailer

Was there some plant event in Charleville Co. Cork today?
I would have gone but had to go get parts for the jeep

There is a 2 day show in Charleville this weekend and what you would have seen would have been heading in that direction.
I was there at 9pm Friday and already a large number of Commercials were lined up after a run to Dromcollogher. Quite a lot of have come from East of England for this show and Sunday its expected that there will be a very large turnout of Cars, Commercials & Tractors.
Another road run will take place on Saturday taking in Churchtown and Liscarroll areas.

Hope I'm not breaking forum rules by posting above thread.

I looked at schedule and not clear to me if there is much by way of 4x4 on show

This was a track trencher I drove for a short while. Hateful hateful yoke! Made a sweet trench to work in though. Record for one day was 800m of trench dug and pipe layed, mind you, it was a long day!

I always maintained it was like sitting in a very noisy old plane, just when they wind up the engines while holding the brakes before take off, except it lasts for 12hrs and is about 35c in the cab and you have to get in and out about 5 times an hour to move the theodolite..
