Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Anyone know of any good books on this topic,particularly around the WW2 era? I've been looking for ages and it's surprisingly hard to find :/

    You could read Iverach McDonald, The History of The Times Volume 5: Struggles in War and Peace, 1939-1966 (London: Times Books, 1984).
    It's part of the official history of the newspaper.
