As above title. What are best examples for economic stability/citizen welfare/debt all aspects of performance etc. Should we look East ,more towards a European social model or West USA capitalist model?
Ireland is in debt, housing/accommodation debacle, HSE problems/emmigration for work etc.
Now I'm also saying there are plenty good things going for Ireland too.

Debates such as socialism v's capatalism are too simplistic, as both ideologies have merits and major failings, but neither probably truly exists in their purest form. I do believe though that there is significant evidence to support that our most predominant form of capatalism, I.e. neoliberalism, is a bust, and we maybe forced to create another form at some stage to deal with the issues it's creating. I do disagree with those that say capatalism is going to collapse on itself, as it has survived countless crashes and wars, it's even still pottering along after the most recent crash, and is showing no signs of stopping, but of course I could be wrong. An interesting debate op, thank you
