Not unexpected given it was a knee injury.

    Any news of Billy Burns?

Actually was expecting season ending knee injury. So fingers crossed it’s just end of January.

    No word, maybe fit again.

Our most important signing this season!

What are the odds he resigns inline with Andy Farrell contract finishing?

    Is Treadwell available for Gloucester?

If he isn't and Carter is missing then we have a problem!

Two O'Connors start with maybe Matty Rea covering second row.

Supposedly be free to play from midnight on 19th December . 3 weeks not 3 games ban.

Glad to see Allison is still alive.

Interesting that there's no McIlroy there (and I saw he and David McCann both were awarded the Jack Kyle bursary).

I was about to post the same thing about McIlroy. He would be the next cab off the rank for the senior backs I think, but I don't think anyone got injured last week. Maybe he is going to Gloucester as 24th man.

Any of them likely to interest the Irish U20 selectors? Doak? Anyone else?

Egan probably early favourite for starting TH.
Saunderson will be in the mix at LH.
    Doak obviously.

Hard to know about the rest. Rankin/Moxham probably be in wider squad.

Jude P possible bolter. McCormick will be a factor next year if not this.

Egan had a pretty horrific injury last year, didn’t he? Great to see him back.

Rankin and Moxham are good players, but there’s a lot of competition in the back three I reckon.

Interesting to see Jude P on the wing instead of Moxham, has less experience there and wouldn’t be as quick.

That be a good game to watch!

Means McCall must be on bench

With NI going into hard lockdown I would not be surprised if Ulster's games are cancelled. There is already rumours that the football will all have to stop, no games on Stephens Day etc.

No elite level sport allowed in NI from Boxing Day...

Not sure if that only applies to the first week of the lockdown which would run until 2nd Jan.

  • Administrators Posts: 53,335 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

I hope it's just the first week, which would mean no Connacht or Munster fixture.

Otherwise we may as well send the players off on holiday now.

The players won't even be able to train so couldn't play away matches...unless they head down south...but I assume that wouldn't be allowed.

I can't see it being for the whole 6 weeks. That would be really extreme surely and I say that as someone who broadly supports the new lockdown.

On the upside, we might get to send a strong team to the RDS!

Don’t see how we could possibly play any other time.

I'm absolutely shameless enough to claim this still counts as an undefeated season.

A season for our academy to put on some timber.

Champions cup definitely. 5 points for other team.

Assuming Pro14 will follow similar path
