Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Hi,

Not to take from Cookimonster, but what triggered the appointment?

Has activity increased on the forums, or will Cookimonster bring a particular skillset to the forums that the current Mods don't have, perhaps. ?

Hopefully being a bit nosey, won't get me banned by the new Mod

The forum, whether people see it or not, is always active. The for sale section does very well considering its one of the last places to sell shooting gear that won't get you banned.

Its good to get some new blood in from time to time. Cookimonster's record speaks for itself in terms of suitability, knowledge and character so was the best choice for the position.

Couple this with real life situations (Mods have other commitments outside the forum) that limit their time on the forum and its no harm to have someone new that has time to spare to invest in the forum.
