No offence to Kold, but your poll annoyed me. :D

Anyway, I think that in general these would be considered better lyricists. So, make your choice.

Has anyone heard Gangstarr's new album "The Ownerz"? In my opinion, it's the best hip-hop album to come out for a long number of years. Not one bad track on it. Stand out tracks for me though, are "In this life" , "Zoning", and "Deadly Habits". Top drawer stuff from premo and gurizzy.

can't say i was all that impressed with the new album, to be honest. i found the beats a bit boring

Personally I think 2nas a terrible lyricist, as are all of J5, where lyricist to me means the songs you write, not its delivery ( i don't like 2nas voice anyway but thats another thread), all their tracks are very samey, and even his guest appearances on other albums smack of unoriginal lines...

I couldnt think of anyone to finish off the list tbh.
And I just stuck 2na there because I like his delivery. Don't complain it could have been Del the Funky Homosapian and I know how you love him. ;)

I went KRS but tbh none of em would really breach my top 10

Oh great cheers, for a moment there I actually recalled the painful experience of listening to him on Deltron 3030.

Roots Manuva is the Tommy Lee Jones of hip hop

Aesop imho is by far the best writer out of the bunch of them.

But for delivery...hmm, maybe KRS or Manuva could be better.
