Would anyone remember the name of the jeweler in the grafton street arcade around 1986/87...he used to make his own jewelry ?

Grafton Arcade opened 1960and by early 2000s was winding down.

Looking at Thom's directories, the biggest jewellery operation there was Worboys Ltd, Manufacturing jewellers at units 12&14. By 1975 Diagem International jewellers were there.
On the other side at unit 13, there was Jensen Wholesale Jewellers in the 1970s.
In the 1980s, there was a firm called Exec-U-Tek, jewellery and watches sharing unit 4 with other tenants.

Any of these may have traded under different names.

As you say he made his own jewellery, Worboy is most likely.

There was also another arcade off Grafton Street, called Creation Arcade, I did not notice any jewellers there.
