Amp for digital piano and digital drum kit

    Hi all,

I have a Roland digital stage piano and some Roland V-drums. I have a full Roland HP-207e so rarely use the stage piano and usually put it through a PA. The drums are newish and I am playing through headphones.

I have a bass amp for my bass guitar, but when I have tried the stage piano through it, it sounds messy, especially the higher notes.

I'm looking for an amp which will be useful for both in a home / smallish practice room setup.

Does anyone know if the one amp would be suitable for both piano and digital drums? And, if so, what sort of spec should I be looking for?

    Thanks in advance.

You'd be better off getting a full range powered speaker, something like https://www.thomann.de/ie/the_box_ma82_cl.htm

    Thanks for the advice.

So the 80hz will do the bass drum and 20khz the hi hats and top notes of the piano?

The €111 was a bit less than I had expected to spend so I want to make sure it's right before I order it.

If you're willing to spend a bit more, https://www.thomann.de/ie/the_box_pa_12_dsp.htm might be better, since it's got a lower bass response. 50hz will take care of the low end.

If you want to spend more, there are a bunch of options, but it depends on the size of your room etc

A fairly cheap set of 30w powered bookshelf speakers may well do 40/45hz with, bought some last year, under 50notes on the 2nd hand market. Cheap and able to move ported bass air with ease. Could have been a smidgen louder, but still fine for indoor use.

With your advice @feylya, I got a powered 100W monitor wedge off ebay. It seems to be perfect for the job.

    Thanks a lot!
