Unions involved Dee, ex Union employee.

Hannon doesn’t usually lose control till around 1340 when she lets them off the leash.

That will come when the discussion gets to the Paddies Day issue if they go to that.

I'm watching this on news now, the look of utter contempt on Louise"s face, very telling

Watch Hannon jacking it up now.

It might sound harsh but if this is going to work, there can be no exceptions. Thousands of citizens have not even been able to attend a local funeral let alone fly into another country to attend one.

RTE seems to like her. Camera on her even when others in the studio are speaking

Cillian de Gascun talks a lot of sense, always liked his analysis. Sadly it Looks like lockdown going to drag on for quite some time.

Eamonn might want to chat with the president of the GRA, who stated clearly yesterday that Gardai are NOT checking if people are quarantining?

Eamonn is talking box about following health advice. His job is to have the legal powers ready so that if the health advice says hotel quarantine for people from X that the government does not just start drafting legislation at that point.

Seems like an amiable kind of chap but hopelessly out of his depth generally.

If you are a green party supporter you would be pulling your hair out - yesterday it was Roderick O Gorman having to defend Martin and Leo's leaking and kite flying and today Eamon Ryan has got the short end of the stick.

The endless vested intetest group inputs has to end - quoting Adrian Cummins from the restaurant association is nonsensical when everyone in the industry knew an opening in June was at best possible.

Couldn't agree more Adrian Cummins seems to have a direct line to Katie, he's clueless, the same arguments repeated time and time again, I suspect he's more concerned at a collapse in RAI subscription income.

And this is his second bite at the cherry.. Imo the green party are in for a right hammering the next time they go before the people followed by a major clearout of the old green guard

Katie talking to Professor Brian MacCraith, first question re when over 85"s will be fully vaccinated, tge answer very odd. First does completed next week, by 1st March?, 2nd doses by end of May? This is alarming and this aside from wide spread reports of cancelled appointments. Is he saying the gap between doses is 12 weeks? I understood it should be 4 weeks?

It really is extraordinarily complicated, I'm more confused now than before this interview started. A lot of HSE back slapping going on.

And there we have the government utterly clueless. The migrant workers will self quarantine - Jesus H Christ - nothing learnt.

  • Registered Users Posts: 26,920 ✭✭✭✭Dempo1

Government won't have a bad word said about meat processing plants. What is curious though is the fact thousands of seasonal workers will be arriving, I doubt very much any of them could afford to stay in a hotel for 2 weeks and pay for various tests. Larry Goodman certainly won't be paying for this or Horticultural employers.

First time listening to Katie Hannon - she’s really not great, seems to be “up against the clock” a lot and stumbling over her words.

Unfortunately with less than hour allocated, there's rarely sufficient time to fully discuss topics.
