An hour and a half between the games next Saturday is strange. Leaves it very tight. Sure the Bristol Bordeaux game last over 2 hours today.

    Allowing for extra time maybe.

    Allowing for extra time maybe.

First game at 3 , second at 5.30, plenty of time between games.

You might have been looking at local kick off times?

Racing were fun to watch there. What a player Chat is - lives up his name in the agility stakes.

Expect La Rochelle to win handily enough against Sale.
Sale are pretty average at best, they were awful losing at home to Edinburgh and I'm not reading much into them thrashing a poor Scarlets side who clearly could not have cared less. Not sure they are even top 12 in Europe nevermind top 8.
La Rochelle showed clear limitations last week with a wobbly defence and unreliable set piece but their ability to recycle the ball fast and make dominant carries mixed with their offloading ability should cause Sale a lot of problems.

Wonder are they doing the minutes silence for Prince Philip for all matches or just ones with English teams?

Can't decide who to cheer for. It's basically McGinty v ROG.

    West picked ahead of Plisson?

Sale number 8 got extremely lucky there that the player was dragged down, went in leading with the shoulder and just barely missed the head

Brace says the tackler was committed so couldn't pull out. But not sure there's a genuine attempt to actually tackle. It's all shoulder.

He wasn't committed either, not even close to it.

Think his elbow glanced the LAR players head

French TV producer showed that shoulder 6 times.... multiple angles.. pity we didn’t see that detail last week in the Bristol game

    Lovely try

    Yeah really.

Great bit of variation with the auld KBA O'Gara loves, wonderful score.

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,605 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

    That was phenomenal.

Definition of play to the whistle there, but that went forward I think

Edit: nah wide shot shows it's fine

Forward onto knee judging by one of the shots.

    Faf mugged there.

I'd have said knock on in terms of hand direction but advantage to the attacking team.

Great try from Sale just at HT.
    Crucial score

Two absolutely awful attempts at tackling there

Sale got off the hook there.

McGinty is kicking terribly from the tee and would have missed regardless of the La Rochelle player shouting as he was taking the kick.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,199 ✭✭✭ongarite

Never seen that before, conversion missed & taken again because of verbals/shouting at 10.

  • Registered Users Posts: 589 ✭✭✭baas baa

That feels like a common occurrence, Refs and TMO's are surprisingly poor at reading what occurred on screen, it's like they don't have any specific training and are too influenced by their preconception of what happened which is certainly what occurred there. Without a doubt a knock on and how 2 people who's job it is to spot it can look at the same picture and not notice it is unfathomable.

    That's a letoff for MacGinty.

  • Registered Users Posts: 23,781 ✭✭✭✭Larbre34

A match that is definitely missing a crowd, but some good stuff on show on a dry mild day.

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Lleyds try wasn’t a knock on for me. BT crying for it makes it better though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,199 ✭✭✭ongarite

Try in the first minute for La Rochelle

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,809 ✭✭✭KH25

    That’s a nice step.

Massive kick in the gut for Sale.

Can't see an O'Gara team losing this now.
