    Hi there,
Heating a 22ftx45ft barn with a waste oil stove?? When you do the research waste cooking oil will give you 50kw of energy for about 5ltr of waste cooking oil at a bad efficiency. I know people use waste motor oil but to be honest not only being illegal but also containing 40 percent additives to me doesn't seem like a good idea.
So what about waste cooking oil?
Well here's the problem, if you ask a chipper for their oil they say they need a HSE cert to prove they've got rid of the old oil, so how do you collect it legally???
Can a private person become resisted to collected the golden waste from the chippers?
    Would really appreciate any help
    Thanks

    Best of luck with this.

I played around for quite a while with scaled down cooking oil burners... Seems almost impossible to get a reliable burn on a small scale.
Cooking oil is just so different to motor oil, its amazing how few of the waste oil people realise that.
